Located in the iconic Drinkle Number 3 building in downtown Saskatoon, it is a space with a great deal of history, which is reflected in its design. The Drinkle Number 3 building was originally built in 1913 to be a bank, although it never opened as one. The interior features a 24-ft. ceiling, antique chandeliers and stairs at the back of the room that take you to a beautiful mezzanine space. The original hardwood floors and terra cotta brick walls have been restored, and the room receives plenty of natural light from its windows and skylights. It has been the site of a number of restaurants over the years, including Luccis, a popular Italian restaurant in the 70s and 80s.The event site seats 150 people. Owner Evelyn Reisner, whose chef training included schooling in Italy, has owned and operated her Fresh Dish Catering company for more than five years. She opened the Avenue Room in partnership with the building owner, and customers can choose from a wide variety of menu options and services when they rent the space.
