Located on Richmond Street, the hotel is close to many services and sites including the Toronto subway, Union Station, the CN Tower and Royal Ontario Museum.The renovation included the lobby and lobby bar as well as a new look for the hotels 600 rooms. It was a part of a reimagined hotel experience, according to Hilton. The new Frenchy restaurant and lobby bar is the citys most recent French bar and brasserie. The entire lobby has been transformed, including a personalized check in at individual desks versus the traditional long check-in counter and a general store type market for obtaining snacks and refreshments.The meeting and events services include 25 event rooms on three levels of the hotel. The total event space equals 35,800 sq. ft., with their largest room setup (Toronto Ballroom) totalling 9,343 sq. ft. and serving 800 banquet and 1,000 reception. The smallest event rooms serve 10 banquet and 20 reception.The hotels other amenities include an indoor/outdoor pool that stays open year round, pet-friendly rooms, an executive lounge and a fitness centre. The Great Blue Heron is located on Scugog Island near the town of Port Perry, Ont., which is 85 kilometres northeast of downtown Toronto.The 100-room hotel features four meeting and event spaces. It has two smaller rooms (Crane and Eagle) that can hold up to 20 people. The Waters Edge Restaurant and Bar has a private room that can hold up to 75 people.
