Located at 705 Rue Sainte-Catherine, its name reflects its location on the 9th floor of the Eaton Centre heritage building. First opened in 1931, it was shuttered in 1999, the year Eatons went out of business. The rebirth of the restaurant in this heritage building took many years to complete. In addition to the 120 seat le-de-France restaurant, Le 9e also has three function rooms for meetings and other events: the Or and Argent rooms for up to 20 people, and La Grange Salle for up to 500 people including shows, exhibitions andprivate gatherings.Le 9e has been restored to the same look it had when opened in 1931. Called a jewel of Montrals architectural heritage, the restaurant and other rooms have maintained the art deco interior design from the original Eaton Centre. This look was inspired by the dining room of the transatlantic liner le-de France. As a heritage building, the renovations had to be approved by the Quebec Ministry of Culture and Communications.Visit le9montreal.com for more information on Le 9e.36 CORPORATE MEETINGS & EVENTS corporatemeetingsnetwork.ca'
