Fresh from her studies at the University of Manitobas Max Rady College of Medicine, Friesen-Enns is on a journey to bring her Cree and Mtis teachings and values to Western medicine and create more space for Indigenous medical profes-sionals within the field. Friesen-Ennss impactful work was recently honoured with a 2024 Indspire Youth Award, a well-deserved honour that recognizes her tremen-dous achievements to date. Its one of several accolades Friesen-Enns has earned in recent years. She has also received the Doctors Manitoba Student Leadership Prize, the Canadian Medical Hall of Fame Award for Medical Students, and the Helen Betty Osborne Memorial Award.
