b'MCAS EXECUTIVEDIRECTORS MESSAGEOn March 12, 2020, the membership of the MCAS gathered in Yorkton, SK to attend the 75 thAnnual General Meeting, followed that week-end by our annual curling bonspiel. While curlers were busy competing for bragging rights, MCAS staff were closely monitoring advice being given by the provinces Chief Medical Officer. Little did we know, exactly one week later the MCAS office would be closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. And so it began, and so it continues. The world was thrown into turbulent waters without a dependable life preserver. As an association we turned our focus to sifting through the mounds of information that was coming at us from all directions. We filtered out the noise and provided our membership with timely, relevant information to help guide them through the chaos. Our focus was to carry oncontinue our advocacy work, schedule training courses, seek out cost-saving advantage programs, build our membership and, when it was safe, provide in-person networking events. And that is exactly what we did and what we continue to do.
