The purpose of the toolkit is to translate legislation surrounding child welfare into a language that youth will understand and want to engage with. In the preliminary research for the toolkit, the T3YEC found that few resources existed for youth that compiled both the Ontario Child and Family Services Act (1990) and Bill C-92 or provided hands-on resources to assist youth in navigating the child welfare system. In addition to the Provincial and Federal legislation, the toolkit includes information on Abinoojii Inakonigewin, which is Treaty #3s child welfare law.WE CALL IT HOSPITALITYWE CALL IT HOSPITALITYWE CALL IT HOSPITALITYThe toolkit begins by introducing Bill C-92 and how the Act WWE CALL ILT HOS SP TALITYWE CALL IT HO PS ITALITITYE C ALIT HO IPITAL YW EC ALLLLL IT HOSPITA Y YWE CCALL THOS TALIT L YWE C A LIIT HOSPPIITTALLIIITTTYYYW A A LIT HOSP I AL L interacts with existing legislation and Indigenous law, as well as WEE A A LITOSPI P T L LIITWECCAALLLLIITTHOSPI IT A T Y H OSPIT LIITTYYTA AH T how it relates specifically to child welfare.
