b'FACTS & FIGURESFACTS & FIGURESMANITOBA BUILDING PERMITS DECEMBER 2021According to Statistics Canada, building permit numbers in 2021 were 27.5 per cent higher than in 2020. Non-residential permits in 2021 were 6.3 per cent higher than in 2020, with that growth being driven by the commercial (+22.76 per cent) and institutional (+32.44 per cent) sectors. Industrial permits were down more than 38 per cent in 2021 compared to 2020. Residential building permits increased by more than 40 per cent in 2021 compared to 2020.
