b'new venuesTHE W HOTEL TORONTO Toronto, ONThe newest venue on our list, W Toronto opened in March 2022 in Torontos Yorkville area. This new hotel is located at 90 Bloor Street East in the building formerly housing the Bloor Yorkville Marriott Hotel. First scheduled for June 2020, the hotel had its opening delayed by the pandemic. It will be the second W hotel in Canada following the W Montreal, which opened in 2004.The property for the hotel has undergone a $40-million renovation that includes 254 rooms and 32 suites. The hotel is planning a street-level caf and a glass atrium that houses the Living Room, a space to mingle and dine by day and a social hub by night. The hotel will have 4,700 sq. ft. of M&E space, including six meeting rooms that range in capacity from eight to 200 and a maximum of four breakout rooms. Located in downtown Montral across from the Palais des Congrs and a short distance from Old Montral, the new hotel is within walking distance of some of Montrals popular sites and restaurants. The hotel has 193 rooms and suites with floor-to-ceiling windows and features a rooftop heated pool and terrace bistro bar.
