Unlocking the potential These sessions provided those of our communities in attendance with an opportunity to share insight into the challenges faced by First Nations in addressing outstanding issues and to learn how to collaborate and build strong partnerships and effective strategies based on mutual respect and fairness between First Nations communities in Ontario.The productive dialogue during the Political Strategy Sessions was surrounded by two main over-arching themes: developing a unified political strategy for First Nations in the Ontario region and creating the framework for implementing community-based political strategies. Participants were able to discuss the necessary components of creating effective strategies to develop lasting relationships that can benefit First Nations politically and how First Nations in Ontarios key priorities can be brought to the forefront and aligned with provincial and federal priorities.
