Its a very casual two-hour event. Every 10 minutes, I ring a bell and you move on.WCAs first-ever Meet the GC event was held on April 4, putting 50 representatives from WCA member companies in front of a group of general contractors. Hosted at F.C. WoodWorks, the networking evening featured general contractors Concord Projects, Parkwest Projects, Bird Construction, Tractus Projects and Penn-co Construction.For many industry contacts, it was their first in-person, face-to-face meeting with their business partners and colleagues. According to Harrison, it was win-win for both parties.Its good for the GCs because they meet potential new suppliers or contractors, he says. And its good for trade contractors and suppliers because its an opportunity to get in front of the GC.The event was so successful, WCA held a second edition on Wednesday, June 7 at SRS Signs, with another two Meet the GC events lined up for 2023.
