b'FACTS & FIGURESMANITOBA BUILDING PERMITS SEPTEMBER 2025According to Statistics Canada, building permit numbers through September 2025 were down more than six per cent compared to the same time period in 2024, with that drop coming mostly from the non-residential side.Commercial building permits were up more than seven per cent compared to the same time period in 2024, while institutional building permits were down more than 45 per cent and industrial permits decreased by about 45 per cent. The non-residential side as a whole was down 27 per cent compared to September 2024.Residential permits through September 2025 were up 14 per cent compared to the same time period last year. Multiple residential permits rose by two per cent, while single-family residential permits were up more than 30 per cent compared to last year.
