Catalyst Canada reports that the proportion of women 15 years and older in the workforce rose from 37.1 per cent in 1976 to 47.7 per cent in 2018. Yet women still arent proportionally represented at the higher levels and, within the relocation world, companies are not transferring them to new loca-tions in the same numbers as men. The proportion of female transferees is low, with estimates ranging from just 17 per cent to 25 per cent of the total number. But things may be changing, notes Cathy Heyne, managing director of marketing and business development with Living Abroad LLC.
