Campbell found herself playing a sport she loved while pursuing a degree in Indigenous studies. And while she admits she could have been a stronger student in her first year, that initial positive exposure to university life was eye-opening.It was like a light beam went on, Campbell recalls. It was like, Oh, there are Indigenous peoples in school. There are even Indigenous professors and Indigenous people running the school.
