Each year, MCAC awards the Richard McKeagan series of scholarships to deserving students across the country. The objective of the scholarships is to highlight the importance of education and attract graduates and undergraduates to the mechanical contracting industry. Established by the Construction Education Council and MCAC’s associate members, nominees can come from a number of different backgrounds to apply for these scholarships, including being direct family of an employee of a company that has been an MCAC member for at least one year, being part of an MCAC Student Chapter, or otherwise being involved in studies related to the mechanical contracting industry. Each year a number of MCAC associate members and association groups participate in the program. In 2025, there were 16 members and groups involved that offered 23 scholarships.
