Parkes-Blanc, MCAC’s marketing &
business development coordinator.
“Delegates not only engaged in inspiring
sessions and workshops, but also
experienced the beauty, energy and vibrant
culture of the Caribbean, making it an
unforgettable setting for both professional
growth and personal enrichment.”
Before the main event, delegates were
invited to tee up at the Sandy Lane Golf
and Country Club for the MCAC’s
Annual Conference Golf Tournament.
And though the team of Barrie Ngeh,
Justin Campisi and Conor Smith emerged
victorious, everyone won the day.
The pre-show schedule also included
a poolside First Timer’s Reception and
an Opening Night “Beach Rhythms”
Networking Reception featuring a buffet
spread, tropical refreshments and live steel
pan music. The socializing continued
throughout the event with a night at the
Harbour Lights Beach Club, a rum tour
of Mount Gay Distilleries, catamaran
rides, beach activities for companions and
a host of networking breakfasts
and lunches.
“These experiences combined relaxation,
adventure and meaningful conversation,
giving attendees the chance to forge
lasting relationships, share ideas and create
memories that extend far beyond the
conference sessions,” says Parkes-Blanc.
The event culminated in the Closing
Night Reception and Gala Dinner,
the latter of which was held in Charles
Fort, a historic military fortification
and UNESCO World Heritage Site in
Bridgetown. Here, attendees toasted
another successful conference with island-
inspired cuisine, Caribbean tunes and
good company. Reflecting on the feedback
during the night, Lancastle reports, “By
all accounts and from every conversation
I’ve had, it was a very positive experience.
What I heard from people is that it struck
an excellent balance between networking
and education, while still allowing
people to enjoy themselves. At the same
time, it created space for the kinds of
conversations that are vital to raising the
bar for the industry.”
Granted, he adds, “It certainly didn’t hurt
that it was all set in a great location.”
A Round of Thanks
With memories fresh and tans fading,
MCAC is happy to call its 2025 Annual
Conference a success. The association
is also quick to thank the many people
who came together to make the event
possible, including MCAC’s staff and
“a tremendous group of sponsors and
partners, which included this year’s
presenting sponsor, Milwaukee Tool.
We’re fortunate to have tremendous
support from a number of partners every
year, and it goes without saying that none
of this could have been possible without
that,” says Lancastle.
Lancastle also speaks for the MCAC
planning team when he says the
conference owes its success to those who
made the trip: “We can plan an event, but
it’s the delegates and members from across
the country who come and participate
and choose to use this as an opportunity
for education and networking who make
these events so successful.”
