Whether it involves socio-economic development, infrastructure investment, or broader community planning, the underlying desire is often the same. Nations want quick, easy access to knowledge and trusted support. In the spirit of reconciliation, Catalyste+ has worked alongside Indigenous partners for the past 60 years. Its mentorship services are rooted in relationships and respect for Indigenous decision- making authority, with the intent to transfer knowledge and strengthen skills. Catalyste+ delivers this support through experienced volunteer advisors who act as mentors and technical resources across several industries. Advisors are passionate about collaborating with Indigenous partners for meaningful, long-term impact. The journey is a mutual exchange of knowledge, understanding, and appreciation. For many partners, their goals involve strengthening systems and governance, developing technical skills, and being ready for opportunities that align with community priorities. For some Nations, recent federal decisions on critical mineral projects are a pressing concern. Though Catalyste+ services are designed to support each case, it doesn’t promote any specific outcome or path. Its role is to support Nations in building the internal capacity to understand the issues and their implications. Having completed over 1,300 assignments with 700 partners in Indigenous communities across Canada, Catalyste+ customizes every assignment to the partner’s needs and goals. The community- driven approach ensures individuals, businesses, governments, and community organizations are equipped to make decisions that reflect their own values and processes. There is a growing recognition of Indigenous rights and roles among mainstream Canadians, but the need for a deeper understanding persists.
