b'FACTS & FIGURESFACTS & FIGURESMANITOBA BUILDING PERMITS SEPTEMBER 2021According to Statistics Canada, building permit numbers through September 2021 are up nearly 25 per cent compared to the same time period in 2020.Non-residential permits continue to lag behind the residential side, although they are above 2020 numbers. In total, non-residential building permits are up just over three per cent, with commercial permits (+21 per cent) and institutional permits (+36 per cent) both in the black. Industrial permits are down over 45 per cent compared to 2020.Residential building permits continue to exceed their 2020 pace and are up by more than 40 per cent compared to September 2020.
