Photo courtesy of Science North.Inspiring Indigenous IngenuityITO recently partnered with Science North on Indigenous Ingenuity: Timeless Inventions, an exhibit that features the scientific achievements of Indigenous peoples over thousands of years and aims to inspire the next generation of Indigenous scientists in the north. The Indigenous Ingenuity exhibit was presented in Sudbury this past fall and will relocate to Thunder Bay this winter.Science North wanted to celebrate Everyone Working Together to Raise Our Children Indigenous Ingenuity and saw us as the partner to help them do that across northern Ontario, Eshkawkogan says. Obviously they are experts in science; bringing the Indigenous community to the table from a tourism perspective is what we [contribute].Additionally, ITO and Science North are working to develop a travelling exhibit, which will be presented in 40-50 First Nation communities and munici-palities across northern Ontario over the next three to five years.
