b'FACTS & FIGURESFACTS & FIGURESMANITOBA BUILDING PERMITS MARCH 2022According to Statistics Canada, building permit numbers through March 2022 were up just under 10 per cent compared to the same time period last year. However, all this growth is being driven by a more than 100 per cent increase in the commercial sector, with every other sector in the industry seeing fewer dollars in building permits than 2021.While commercial building permits have more than doubled compared to 2021, institutional permits are down nearly 40 per cent, and industrial permits are down nearly 10 per cent.
