b'FACTS & FIGURESFACTS & FIGURESAccording to Statistics Canada, building permit numbers through September 2020 were down 13 per cent compared to the same time period in 2019.The COVID-19 pandemic has clearly had an effect on building permit numbers across the board. Every sector with the exception of industrial is down compared to 2019.Non-residential permits were down 25 per cent compared to 2019, despite a 24 per cent increase from the industrial sector.
