b'NEEPAWA HEALTH CENTREOn Highway 16, at the eastern edge of the Town of Neepawa, a new health centre is under construction on a 40-acre patch of farmland. The new hospital will offer residents in Neepawa and surrounding communities improved access to a wider variety of specialty services, and will be nearly twice the size of the current facility serving the region.Once completed, the new Neepawa Health Centre will feature the following:63 acute care inpatient beds (up from 38 at the current Neepawa facility); An expanded emergency department designedto best-practice standards that will include treatment and assessment rooms, trauma rooms and an ambulance bay; A hemodialysis suite with nine dialysis stations; andEnhanced space for a number of other programs, such as surgery, diagnostics and palliative care, as well as outpatient services like chemotherapy (six treatment stations) and ambulatorycare services.
