b'FACTS & FIGURESMANITOBA BUILDING PERMITS DECEMBER 2023According to Statistics Canada, building permit numbers in 2023 increased by less than two per cent compared to 2022. We should note these numbers will change slightly over the next month or two.Commercial building permits were down 22 per cent compared to 2022, while institutional building permits were up more than 128 per cent and industrial permits decreased by 40 per cent. The non-residential side as a whole was down less than one per cent in 2023 compared to 2022.Residential permits in 2023 were up more than three per cent compared to 2022.
