b'FACTS & FIGURESMANITOBA BUILDING PERMITS APRIL 2025According to Statistics Canada, building permit numbers through April 2025 were down about three per cent compared to the same time period in 2024, with that drop coming from the non-residential side.Commercial building permits were up nearly seven per cent compared to the first four months of 2024, while institutional building permits were down more than 40 per cent and industrial permits decreased by about 33 per cent. The non-residential side as a whole was down 23 per cent compared to April 2024.Residential permits through April 2025 were up more than 18 per cent compared to the same time period last year.
