In order to do that, weve had to evolve new ways of thinking and operating. This includes modernizing their base of operations with newer offices, shop facilities, new equipment, higher wages and promoting from within.SRCA has also created working relationships with colleges and trade schools, such as the Regina Trades & Skills Centre, the Saskatoon Trades and Skills Centre, the Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technology, and Skills Canada Saskatchewan, among many others. The association provides instructors if needed, as well as roofing materials required for hands-on training. Our members are committed to hiring the graduates of these courses and are involved with attending job fairs and career days. They regularly meet with school counsellors to assist them with understanding that roofing is a career, not just a job. Many also visit our First Nation reserves to promote the advantages of making roofing a life-long career.
