NEW AND
RENEWED VENUES
Five fresh faces for your next event
by Warren Heeley
CM&E is once again pleased to bring our readers the news on recent developments in corporate
meeting and event spaces in Canada. With venues being renovated and new properties popping up
on an ongoing basis, meeting planners are challenged to stay on top of changes in this sector. This
regular CM&E feature assists planners in staying ahead of what’s changed so they can make informed
decisions for their next event.
CM&E reviewed five properties that recently completed renovations or introduced new sites.
Here’s what we learned:
SIXTYEIGHT
Toronto, ON
In September 2025, SixtyEight opened its
doors for the first time. Located on the top
floor of the Scotia Plaza in Toronto’s financial
district, it was described as the city’s newest
luxury event and amenity space. Owned
by KingSett Capital and Oliver & Bonacini
Hospitality, the site is 68 floors above the
city and includes a café and bar and 10,000
square feet of event space. In addition to
having beautiful views of the city skyline, the
Scotia Plaza is the first major zero-carbon
performance certified building in Canada.
There are eight rooms available for
meetings and events. The largest room is
the Cirrus Ballroom with a capacity of 250
(reception) and 200 (banquet). The second
largest is the Amenity room with a capacity of
100 (reception) and 68 (banquet). The six other
rooms start with the Orion, with a capacity of
30 for reception or banquet, and reduce to
boardroom settings for groups of between
four and 20.
The site offers chef-driven cuisine and some
of Toronto’s most coveted dining experiences.
Event packages are available that cater to
planners’ every need. The venue is adaptable
for conferences, galas, product launches and
other corporate events.
