While this small Canadian city continues to struggle with race relations and a high incidence of Indigenous people who go missing or are murdered, Bourdeau is determined to solve at least one of these cases.Last winter, she started the Tree of Hope Project to raise money for this effort and to bring awareness to Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG) in the process.
