b'Its Our TimeS ince 1994, the Indigenous Diabetes Health Circle (IDHC)worked to build diabetes wellness capacity for Indigenouspeople in Ontario. We know that our people achieve besthealth outcomes through programs designed, developed andled by Indigenous communitiesour solution is conscious, holistic and long-termseven generations long. We addressthe immediate and practical and we also address the root causeof Indigenous diabetes (colonization). We express Indigenousculture and spirituality in all that we do. Our approach expressesIndigenous power.Women are agents of change. Our creation story was given tous by Woman. In our creation story, Woman will remember theteachings first, awaken first, heal first, stand strong and speak hervoice again. And so today at IDHC, women play key roles in thehealing of our communities (with the support of our men)as wasprophesied. We prayed for change, we hoped for change, and we workedtoward change. And now we are seeing change. When we say Thank You, we know that creates miracles. Pleaseaccept this humble expression of our gratitude and awe to all ofthe women that lead us on our journey towards the healing ofourselves and our communities and we thank each and everyone for building bridges, forging pathways, and sharing whateveris in their baskets.Grandmother Rene Thomas-HillCONTACT US3250 Schmon Parkway 1B, Thorold, ON L2V 4Y61-888-514-1370www.idhc.lifeVIEW OUR ANNUAL REPORT VIDEO ON yobewww.youtube.com/watch?v=ix-srUEJIqw&t=12s'
