As hard as the experience can be, Skye ultimately finds it humbling that people want to hear her story, and simultaneously liberating to talk about her life experiences. It was after attending an event for survivors of human trafficking in Thunder Bay a few years back that Skye first discovered a common language and no longer felt alone.
