This May, Jilmark Construction completed the full-scale restoration of the Fortune Building and the adjoining Macdonald Block (aka the Fortune Block), bringing a sense of renewal to their downtown location at the corner of Main Street and St. Mary Avenue. The project was launched by the Pollard family, owners of Pollard Banknote Limited, whose Co-chief Executive Officer John Pollard saw an opportunity to bring one of the city’s oldest commercial buildings back from the brink.
