What a privilege it is to work for an Association that is celebrating its 100th Anniversary this year and to be a small part of that history. I truly had a sense of this milestone when a package arrived at the Association office. As I opened the box, I was greeted by photographs dating back to 1919 showing a remarkable group of gentlemen. They came together a century ago to form an organization that would work to better the mechanical contracting industry at that time and for decades to follow. Fast forward 100 years to take a picture of the current membership and you will still see a group of proud, hardworking individuals who see real value in belonging to their Association. Not only does our membership include mechanical contractors, but over the years we have expanded to include affiliate and professional members. The MCAS has proven time and time again that it is the voice of the mechanical contracting industry in Saskatchewan. The work that is done through the efforts of the Association impacts our members every day. The Mechanical Contractors Association of Saskatchewan has always kept the interests of its members at the heart of what we do. As our new tagline states, “Members First for the Last 100 Years.” I invite all our members, whether contractors, affiliates or professionals, to join us as we celebrate throughout the year. And finally, let me be the first to say, Happy Birthday MCAS!
