This fall, CRCA staff – along with two of Brunet’s longtime friends and former CRCA presidents, Pierre Lafontaine and Murray Tysowski – were honoured to present the Honorary Membership award in person at Brunet’s home. “I am truly honoured to receive this award,” he said. “During my time as executive director, I always put the members first. Now, the members are putting me first by awarding me Honorary Membership. Thank you!” Brunet’s influence continues to resonate across the roofing community, and this Honorary Membership stands as a lasting symbol of the respect and gratitude he has earned nationwide. Our heartfelt thanks to you as well, Bob! Jacques Chevalier Scholarship The future of Canada’s roofing industry rests in the hands of its emerging talent. With this in mind, the Jacques Chevalier Scholarship supports CRCA members, their employees, spouses or partners, and children in pursuing post-secondary education. Awarded to one undergraduate student, the recipient is selected based on academic achievement, character and potential. This year’s recipient, Hannah White, shines across the board. Hannah White, the daughter of Travis White, CEO of Atlantic Roofers, is currently in her second semester of studies in Television and Film Creation at the College of the New Atlantic in Stephenville, N.L. Her academic commitment and personal drive reflect the values behind this long-standing CRCA program. As CRCA president Dan Nosaty notes, “Hannah stood out among a group of applicants for her dedication to her studies and her clear sense of purpose as she advances into her post-secondary program. Her selection reflects CRCA’s commitment to broadening opportunities for deserving students and helping them achieve their academic and life goals, a core principle of the scholarship since its inception.” The Jacques Chevalier Scholarship is an important part of CRCA’s commitment techniques et encouragé la collaboration dans l’industrie.
