PRINTEMPS/ÉTÉ 2026 COUVERTURES CANADA

• Workforce recruitment and
retention: Practical strategies
for retaining talent and
attracting the next generation
of roofing professionals.
• Sustainability and energy
efficiency: The latest
advancements in sustainable
roofing materials, practices, codes
and environmental expectations.
• Business leadership and
succession planning: How
companies can prepare for long-

and growth.
CRCA’s conference planning team
says the goal is to build a conference
program that balances technical expertise
with business strategy, ensuring value
for owners, managers, estimators and
technical staff alike. The programming
will
also
emphasize
cross-industry
collaboration, featuring insights from
engineering, building science and related
trades to broaden the conversation and
offer members a more holistic view of
the challenges and opportunities shaping
the roofing sector.
Stéphane Poissant, chair of the
conference committee, explains,
“Serving on the CRCA board gives
me a national view of the challenges
our industry is facing. The conference
program is designed to tackle them
head-on. Bringing contractors from
every province together in Québec
City creates the kind of collaboration
and idea-sharing we need to keep
moving forward.”
Outside
of
its
business
and
educational sessions, the 65th National
Conference will also make room for
special
appearances
and
industry
showcases. These include a keynote
address by Dany Dubé, former assistant
coach for Team Canada at the 1994
Winter Olympics in Lillehammer and
now one of Québec’s most respected
hockey analysts. “Dany’s experience
behind the bench at the highest levels
of international competition gives him
a perspective that resonates far beyond
the rink,” Forgues says. “He has a
remarkable ability to translate elite
sport strategy into lessons on leadership,
teamwork and performance – themes
that align perfectly with the challenges
