The strategy includes four key areas of focus based on information gathered in public engagements:Anticipating skills needed for the futureAligning education and training to labour market needs and helping students succeedFostering entrepreneurial and innovative skills Growing, attracting and retaining talentWCA was particularly interested in aligning education needs for tomorrows workforce and helping students succeed. One of the immediate actions in the report is to help match employers to apprenticeships and this is a positive step. WCA often gets calls from people looking to begin an apprenticeship and would like to find a company to sponsor, so there is clearly a need for this work.
