Foundation work is complete, with piling and backfill underway and the steel structure about to go up. The team anticipates the project will be complete by the end of the year, adding another project to Winnipeg’s history with the company. Speaking to that legacy, Monnier adds, “We’ve always been about national experience partnered with local talent – building up a local team of Manitobans and working on the types of projects that have made Graham successful for 100 years.” P.W. couldn’t gauge how far his family company would go all those years ago. But, as later generations can attest, the tracks he put down 100 years ago have culminated in a nationwide company that has become deeply embedded in the country’s history. Today, more than 3,000 people continue to build on that legacy out of 29 permanent offices across Canada and the United States. “Reaching 100 years is something only a small number of companies ever get to do,” says Andy Trewick, president and CEO of Graham. “It reflects generations of resilience, progress and a legacy of people who have shown up with purpose, taken pride in quality work and stood confidently behind what they build – which is what we still do every day.” With many more projects in its pipeline, Graham is heading into the next chapter of its story with solid momentum. Still, Trewick reflects that the 100th anniversary is a good occasion to take a step back and recognize the leaders who have brought the company to this point. “At its core, our people are the heart of this milestone. Graham’s history isn’t just a story, but a foundation defined by the people behind the projects, who we are and the inspiration for who we’re becoming.” “Whether on site or in the office,” he continues, “our people are building the kind of company that will last for generations.” Graham Construction is marking its centennial with events across Canada.
